Joseph G. Having

Joseph G. Having, 64, of Chandlerville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.  He was a retired Corrections Officer with Illinois State Corrections.

Joseph served our country in the U. S. Army where he received a Bronze Star, served two tours in the Vietnam War and later retired from the Medical Corp after 20 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, a member of American Legion in Chandlerville, IL, a volunteer Firefighter, an avid sports fan, played softball and loved hunting and fishing. Joseph enjoyed life, spending time with family, and loved Kentucky.

Survivors include his loving wife, Candy Having of Chandlerville, IL; sons, Corey Having of Chandlerville, IL, Greg Having of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Melissa (Tim) Watkins of Batesville, IL, Christina (Heath) Fryman of Corinth, KY, Patricia (Rodney) Johnson of Colorado, Nancy Having of Chandlervill, IL, Emmilyne Having of Chandlerville, IL, Maggie Having of Chandlerville, IL; brother, Danny (Becky) Having of Sanders, KY; sisters, Nancy (Greg) Leedy of Union, Suzanne (Larry, deceased) Wendt of Crestview Hills, Jodi (Joe) Krumpleman of Marietta, GA; 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is Monday, October 27, 2014 from 10:00AM to the hour of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon all in St. Joseph Church, 2470 Loraine Ct., Crescent Springs, KY 41017.

Cremation to following Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, Kentucky.
