Hubert Asher, 93, of Florence, formerly of Ft. Wright, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. He was a retired chemical operator with Hilton-Davis Company. Hubert was full of love, joy, kindness, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor that charmed everyone. Anyone Hubert met soon became his friend. And he never said a bad word about anyone. He spent most of his adult life, being a disciple of God, spreading God’s word to others, and he was an inspiration at how easily he did so. Hubert often gave people Bible passages, one of his favorites was Habakkuk 3:19: “The Lord God is my strength, and he has made my feet like Hinds’ feet and makes me walk in high places.” We can reassure that when Hubert saw God’s face, he said to him, “well done good and faithful servant. enter into the joy of your master” Hubert was a blessing to many and will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered. Hubert served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong member of GracePointe Community Church of the Nazarene in Erlanger.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie in 2011.
Survivors include two nieces, Jackie Turner of Alabama and Susie Mavinidis of Harlon, KY; as well as a large, loving church family.
