Viva Tappan
Viva Katharine Tappan, 58, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away, due to ongoing health complications, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at her lake house at Lake Waynoka, OH.
Viva attended Northern Kentucky University and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. After college, she worked and later became a partner at Tappan Properties. Viva was a wonderful mother, daughter, cousin, and friend. She was an avid animal lover. Viva was involved at SAAP by putting in time, money and effort to protect animals of all types. Viva passionately cared for as well as fostered dogs, cats, chickens, and guinea pigs to name a few. She loved playing golf, tennis, and skiing with friends and was involved with thoroughbred racehorses with her mother.
Viva’s love was her family, especially her daughter, Hanna. Her best times were spent traveling with her family to Aspen, Alaska, Florida, and up East to name a few of their excursions together. In addition, Viva always hosted gatherings for Hanna and her friends. She was a second mother and always provided a home for Hanna’s friends.
Viva was preceded in death by her twin boys, Hunter and Dillon Mueller (2001); brother, Preston C Tappan (1980)
Survivors include her daughter, Hanna K. Mueller of Lexington; parents, Chip and Joyce Tappan of Edgewood; cousins from Canada and up East; close family friends, The Sopers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday August 8, 2023, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, KY.
Interment in St Mary Cemetery Ft. Mitchell, KY.
