Vergie Stephens

Vergie Stephens, 78, of Newport, passed aways on Monday, February 10, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on March 31, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout her life, Vergie dedicated herself to her family, finding immense joy in spending time with her loved ones. She was known for her vibrant spirit and her love of playing Bingo, a pastime that brought her much delight and fellowship.

Vergie is survived by her son, Anthony (Linda) Stephens of Melbourne; her brothers, Lawrence Gregory of Verona and Ernest Gregory of Cincinnati; as well as her six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her daughter, the late Melissa Stephens, and her sister, Imogene Gregory.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM, all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky.

Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
