Terry Bandy

May 4, 1954 — June 3, 2024

Ludlow

Terry Bandy, 70, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at his residence. Born on May 4, 1954, in Covington, Kentucky, Terry led a life filled with compassion, humor, and unwavering dedication.

Terry's journey was one defined by service and generosity. From proudly serving in the United States Navy to his role as a dedicated Truck Driver for City Dash in Cincinnati, Ohio, he touched the lives of many with his selflessness and commitment. His proudest accomplishments include his 42 years as a volunteer Fire Fighter and his tenure as Chief of Ludlow Fire Department for 8 years.

Those who knew Terry can attest to his kind and welcoming nature. He had a heart that knew no bounds and a sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days. He found immense joy in simple pleasures like camping, fishing, NASCAR races with his son Ryan, and four-wheeling in his Jeep. However, his favorite moments were spent alone with "The Love of His Life," Valerie.

In his final moments, Terry was surrounded by his loved ones, finding solace in their presence. Though he leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, Terry's memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Valarie Bandy of Ludlow; devoted son, Ryan Bandy of Crescent Springs; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Chris) Brown of Burlington; caring sister, Karen Fugate of Ludlow; brother-in-law, Clarence Karnes; three cherished grandchildren; nieces, Heather Ladanyi, Laura Karnes; nephew, Arin Mackay and their extended family, The Gillespie family.

He is reunited in spirit with his late parents, Martin and Lurie Bandy, sister, Donna Karnes and stepdaughter, Rachel Nunnally.
