Sharon Ann Stratton, 77, of Florence, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 16, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, Kentucky, surrounded by her family. Born on October 5, 1946, in Covington, Kentucky, Sharon lived a life that embodied selflessness and vitality until her last days.
Sharon enjoyed a fulfilling career, having retired from the Kroger Company's Service Department in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her dedication to her work reflected her caring nature, which her family and friends held dear. In addition to her professional career, Sharon was proud to have been a former member of Jobe's Daughters in Ludlow, Kentucky.
Sharon's personality shone brightly. She was known for her selfless spirit and genuine concern for the well-being of others. Full of life, Sharon brought joy to everyone around her, always prioritizing the happiness of her family and friends. Her love for her family was a warm embrace, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, making her proudest accomplishments her beloved children and grandchildren.
Sharon had a passion for travel, with Aruba holding a special place in her heart as her favorite destination. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, deriving immense joy from babysitting them. Her love for her grandchildren underscored her nurturing character, making her a source of comfort and care for them.
She is preceded in death by her life partner, Lee Haggard (2021).
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Jim) Kunert and Terri (Stuart) Kuehn; grandchildren, Jimmy and Katryn Kunert; Austin, Cameron, and Rylee Kuehn; and great-grandchild, James Lee Kunert.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 11:30 AM all at the Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, Kentucky.
