Robert "Rob" Andrew Elkin, 54, of Walton, KY, passed away suddenly in Cincinnati, OH, on May 15, 2024. He was born on April 24, 1970, in Covington, KY.
With his warm and humorous personality, Rob left an indelible mark on our community. His kind and welcoming nature touched the lives of many, and his unique ability to bring laughter into any situation created unforgettable memories. One such memory is his unusual request for an M&M blizzard with only 3 M&Ms, a testament to his playful spirit.
In his professional life, Rob spent most of his career as a Quality Control Manager for Blend Pak in Bloomfield, KY. In recent years, he returned to Northern Kentucky and worked as a driver for City Dash. He was known for his work ethic, his passion for music, particularly the Grateful Dead, and his love for bowling.
Education played an essential role in Rob's life as he graduated from Dixie Heights High School in 1988 before earning a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Eastern Kentucky University.
Among his most proud accomplishments, Rob was an excellent cook whose dish earned him the prestigious title of "Best of Cincinnati." His culinary skills were just one example of the many talents he possessed.
Survivors include his parents, Ann (Scott) Duncan of Bromley and father Ben (Joyce) Wright of Edgewood; brothers, Marty (Angela) Wright of Ft. Wright, Bill (Amy) Elkin of Durham, NC; and Kevin (Kelly) Theissen of Cleveland, OH, sister; Tiffany (Jeff) Franzen of Independence; aunt, Lynne Stephens; cousin and best friend, Scott Newell; cousins, Wade Newell, Suellen Ruttkay and James Ruttkay and numerous nieces and nephews who brought him immense joy.
A Memorial Service at 10:00 AM will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 110 Boone Street, Bromley, KY 41016. Immediately following the Memorial Service, there will be a Celebration of Life in the church fellowship hall.
