Richard Howard Arns

Richard Howard Arns, 89, of Florence, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather.

Richard dedicated a significant part of his life to serving as a Post Office Clerk. In retirement, he filled his days with joy and passion, as an avid golfer who was always eager to take advantage of a sunny day to enjoy the sport he cherished.

Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty (Campbell) Arns of Florence; son, Richard Arns of Florence; grandchildren, Christopher Alan Cress and Katie Sue Cress, and great-grandson, Jameson George Cress.

Richard was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Karen Sue Cress Arns, as well as his brothers, Dennis and Charles Arns, and sister, JoAnn Hagar. He was also preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles and Sue Arns.

Services are private for the convenience of the family.
