Regina "Gina" Curl, 61, of Newport, a cherished member of her community, passed away on January 21, 2025, at her residence in Newport, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family after many years of courageously fighting and winning her battle with cancer. She knew her Lord and Savior Jesus and is now home with him.
Born on May 3, 1963, in Covington, Kentucky, Gina lived a life of loving and caring for others due to her deep faith in the Lord. She always had a warm smile and unwavering spirit.
Gina dedicated 27 years of her professional life to City Dash, where she served as the Director of Sales, while also holding significant roles in Customer Service and Trucking Director. Her career was not just about professional accomplishments; it was a testament to her commitment and passion, earning her the respect, love, and admiration of colleagues and clients.
Beyond her professional achievements, Gina was deeply devoted to her community. She volunteered at several organizations, including the New Hope Center and the Problem Pregnancy Center. Furthermore, she played a vital role as the Sponsor Director of Transportation for the Flying Pig Marathon, reflecting her love for service and her desire to give back to others.
Gina was not only a dedicated professional and community servant but also a proud and loving family member. She is survived by her husband of 40 years on March 15th, Tim Curl; daughter, Angela (Brendan) Houlton; son, Jon (Tori) Curl; her cherished grandchildren, Alex, Matthew, Conner, and Audrey Houlton, Elle and Lettie Curl; parents, Joe and Dolores Ehlman; brother, Rick (Dwana) Ehlman; and sisters, Sandy Ehlman and Lynn (Pat) Timmerding. Her most treasured accomplishment in life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride.
Gina's radiant personality, marked by her love for Christian music and her infectious positivity, touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed by her husband, family, friends, and all fortunate to experience the light she brought into the world.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM at Grace Fellowship Church, 9379 Gunpowder Road, Florence, KY 41042. The celebration of Gina's life will continue after the service in the café.
