Philip enlisted in the United States Army in 1993, where his role as diesel mechanic was very important. He was a highly decorated soldier, serving three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. During his 20 year career, while in support of Global War on Terrorism, he earned many accolades and awards including a Bronze Star, The Iraq Campaign Medal with five campaign stars and Joint Service Commendation with Valor. His commitment to veterans continued after his retirement as he became a valued member of the Ludlow Vets, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans. His military service was a source of pride, one that reflected his unwavering love and dedication to his country.
In addition to his military career, Philip served as a Police Officer in Cooperas Cove, Texas for six years. His career later took him to Wayfair in Erlanger, where he worked as a Maintenance Technician. Throughout his various roles, Philip exemplified a kindhearted spirit, consistently extending help to those in need. Known for his quiet generosity, he often provided gifts and support, especially to children in his community, without seeking recognition for his acts of kindness.

He loved animals, especially his two dogs, Hank and Sunni. He enjoyed the outdoors, embracing activities such as fishing, camping and golfing, finding peace and joy in nature, as long as it wasn’t too cold.
