Patrick G. Parton, 74, of Erlanger, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Edgewood. Born December 17, 1949, in Covington, Kentucky, Patrick led a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to his family and friends. After serving his country in the United States Army, Patrick worked as a railroad clerk at Norfolk Southern for 35 years.
Pat was known for his kindness. He was always giving compliments and showing his appreciation for others. Pat will be remembered for making things fun and his sense of humor. "Pat and Beth" were always together, whether it was taking long walks, working in the yard, watching the grandkids play sports or taking them on special outings. Together, they created a simple, but beautiful life.
Pat coached the Kentucky Royals travel baseball team for over 15 years. He remained in contact with many of his players, having an impact on their lives. While coaching, Pat created the Steve Tanner Memorial Tournament and Foundation in honor of his best friend, who tragically lost his life during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Ann Parton, and brothers Jerry, David, Ralph, and Bobby Parton.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beth Parton; sons Steve (Erin) Parton and Scott (Kelly) Parton; daughter Angie (Brian) Noel; grandsons Nick Parton, Nathan Parton, Reiner Parton, Asher Parton, Jude Noel, and Ben Noel; granddaughter Caroline Noel; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to hour of service at 12:00 PM, all at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky, 41016.
Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
