Cecil Welch, 83, of Erlanger, KY passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at his residence. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict in Europe, as well as was a retired Train Master of Norfolk and Southern Railroad.
Cecil was a member of the VFW (West Covington), the Ludlow Veterans where he was the Chaplain for many years, Masonic Lodge #478 F & AM, was a Kentucky Colonel, and worked at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home for 23 years.
Cecil was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred (1997); son, Cecil Welch, Jr. (1963); grandson, Charles Pfetzer (2011); step-son, Andy Cahill; and brother, Fred Welch.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of Erlanger, KY; daughters: Deborah Pettit of Erlanger, KY, Toni Cavanaugh of Edgewood, KY and Holly Mills of Covington, KY; brother, Robert Welch of Florence, KY; and step-children: Steve, David and Diane Cahill, Deborah Ham and Denise Chester.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM with Service on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM all at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm St., Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY following the service.
