Mary “Joyce” (nee Martin) Ginney, 88, of Edgewood, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She retired from Proctor & Gamble as a Customer Service Rep.  Joyce was an active member of St. Pius X Church and participated in Walking with Purpose prayer group and the Baptism Committee for many years.  She was an extremely faith-filled woman who was always kind and thoughtful.  She loved spending time with her family and attending all of her grandchildren’s events. She also enjoyed the opera and the arts. Joyce was also an Educator and a Real Estate Agent.

Survivors include her sons, Dr. Patrick (Yong) Ginney of Crescent Springs, Dennis Ginney of Bellevue; daughters, Mary Ellen (Michael) Dorough of Henderson, Nevada, Maureen (Steve) Foltz of Edgewood, Sheila (Russ) Kelly of Kenton Hills, Monica Ginney of Ft. Mitchell; sisters, Patsy Schulten of Lehi, Utah; Joan “Cissie” (Ack) Willets of Louisville; brother-in-law, Jim (Carole) Ginney of Union, KY; and grandchildren, Collin, Erin, Quinn and Corey Foltz, Grace and Cameron Kelly. Also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Thomas Ginney; parents, Ben and Barbara “Bobbie” (nee Zimmer) Martin; brother, Ben Martin; sister, Glenna Wilkerson and grandchildren, Peter and Daniel Foltz.

Visitation is on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM all in St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, Ky 41017.

Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Thomas More University, 333 Thomas More Parkway, Crestview Hills, KY 41017 or Villa Madonna Academy, 2500 Amsterdam Road, Villa Hills, KY 41017.

The family is extremely grateful to St. Elizabeth Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Joyce and they are also grateful to St. Elizabeth Hospitals of Edgewood and Florence.
