John Winkler, Jr.
John W. Winkler, Jr., 72, of Ludlow, KY., passed away on Tuesday, October 02, 2018 at his residence. He was a retired Boiler Maker - Blacksmith for the Boilermakers Local 105. John was a member of Holiness Refuge Tabernacle Church in Burlington, KY. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking, working in his vegetable garden and collecting Shawnee Pottery. He also loved antique cars, and for many years, was a crew chief for Chuck Foulks at the Florence Speedway and North Vernon Indiana Speedway.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Lelia Winkler; son, Steven (Lisa) Winkler; daughter, Mitzi (Randy Otto) Winkler; mother, Cleo Winkler, and grandchildren, Brittany and Karley Winkler all of Ludlow, KY. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Ann Marcum of Mainville, OH., Lorene Padgett of Verona, KY., Dianna Wiedemann of Alexandria, KY., and Charlotte Pohlman Schalk of Covington, KY.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
