Jesse Woody, a beloved husband, father, brother, friend, passed away October 2, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Born on May 28, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jesse lived a life full of purpose, service, compassion.

He worked at The Celotex Corporation. He took immense pride in his service to the country, having served in the United States Army stationed in Korea. His patriotism was further reflected in his active participation in local organizations, Jesse was a member of the American Legion Post 683 and spent a decade as part of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1162. He also enjoyed being involved with the Ludlow Hobo Club, fostering a sense of community among fellow members.

Jesse was known for his deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He loved spending time with his family, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for fishing.  Additionally, Jesse enjoyed bowling in a league years ago, where he relished the friendly competition with his co-workers, he would immerse himself in a good movie or find solace in doing word find puzzles, activities that brought him joy and relaxation.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Woody; his son, Arnold Woody; his daughters, Regina Woody; Marcella (Mickey) Deaton and his step-grandchildren Ashley Deaton and Mickey Deaton Jr.; 2 great grandchildren; and his brothers, Jerry Woody and Luther Williams, and many nieces and nephews. The family will hold on to his loving spirit and the legacy of kindness that he imparted to them.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Lena(Bell) Woody and Edward Woody; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. 

Jesse Woody will be remembered for his gentle heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and his ability to brighten the lives of those around him. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void, but the love he shared will undoubtedly continue to resonate in the hearts of his loved ones. Service to be determined.
