Jayne Lee Rueter

Jayne L. Rueter, 97, of Crescent Springs, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at Villa Springs Skilled Nursing Care in Erlanger, Kentucky. She was a retired Quality Assurance Agent for the IRS. 

Jayne will be forever remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and loved ones, as well as her boundless kindness towards everyone she encountered. Her compassionate spirit shone through in her dedication to helping others, demonstrated by her many years of selfless volunteer work at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  She was also one of the last three members of “The Crazy Eight”, a close group of friends since the second grade from Holy Cross.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Rueter (2014), daughter, Sheila Reid (2013), and her brother, Robert Wedderstrand (1992).

Jayne is survived by her son Raymond "Ray" (Cathy) Rueter Jr. of Villa Hills; daughters Sharon (Don) Thelen of Villa Hills and Shelley (Rich) Barker of Crescent Springs; son-in-law Bob Reid of Columbus; grandchildren Kristie (Ken) McManus, Kelly (Brandon) Bowman, Matthew (Elizabeth) Barker, Eric (Angie) Barker, Shannon (Ryan) Lippert, and Christopher Ferguson; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, all in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2470 Lorraine Court, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.  

Interment at St Mary's Cemetery, Ft Mitchell, KY.
