Georgiana L. Reed

Georgiana L. Reed, 89, of Park Hills, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills. Born on February 1, 1936, in Rensselaer, Indiana, she was a devoted Retired Licensed Practical Nurse with St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Covington, where she touched many lives through her compassionate care.

Georgiana was not only a nurse; she was a nurturing spirit who carried her dedication beyond her profession. Her faith led her to be an active member of both St. Agnes Church and the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, where she served on the Bereavement Committee, contributed to the Ladies Society, and as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Her kindness and warmth radiated from her in every role she embraced, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Georgiana enjoyed life's simple pleasures, often recalling joyful memories of square dancing and camping in their RV with her late husband, Doran Reed. These cherished moments were the heartbeat of her life, and she found solace in the beauty of nature and the rhythm of dance.

Survived by her brother, Roger (Helen) Knouff of Rensselaer, IN, along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews who brought her much joy throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her husband Doran Reed, as well as her brothers, Wayne, Bernard, Robert, Thomas, and James Knouff; and her sisters, Pauline Mullin, Charlotte Faucher, Virginia Schanlaub, Bernadine Miller, Mary Rowinski, and Betty Knouff.

Visitation will take place on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM all in the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, 1140 Madison Ave, Covington, KY.

Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
