Donald E. Clare, 83, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Donald was not only a devoted family man but also a proud veteran who served in the United States Navy. His commitment to his country reflected his unwavering sense of duty and integrity. After his military service, he worked as a meat packer with Bluegrass Meats, where he was known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie among colleagues.
He was a past member of the American Legion Post 203 in Latonia, where he formed lasting friendships. Donald enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in playing BINGO and cards with friends. His love for golf brought him many memorable days spent on the course.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy Clare; daughter, Sandra (Bobby) McNabb; sons, Kevin Yates, Michael and Jeff Clare; seven grandchildren, Tony Clare, Andrew Buford, Brandon Ketron, Jared Clare, Taylor Clare and two others.
He is preceded in death by his cherished son, Scott Clare, and his beloved parents, Phillip and Martha Clare, late sister Betty McCauley, late six brothers, Tom, John, Jim, Joe, Richard, and Norman, and his late sister-in-law, Alma Clare.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 11:00AM until the hour of Service at 12:00PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery in California, Kentucky
