Deborah Carlene Hastings

Deborah "Debbie” C. Hastings, 66, of Batavia, Ohio, a dedicated and compassionate individual, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Deborah was born on October 16, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of others through her kindness and selflessness.

Deborah pursued a fulfilling career alongside her husband at Hastings and Hastings Law, where she worked diligently in their private practice. Her dedication to her profession was admirable, and she earned her Law Degree through hard work and perseverance.

Beyond her career, Deborah had many passions that brought her joy. She had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden. Sewing and crafting jewelry were among her favorite pastimes, showcasing her creativity and attention to detail. Furthermore, she had a talent for cooking delicious meals that brought family and friends together.

Described as one of the most loving individuals, Deborah always prioritized others before herself, even at her own expense. Her unparalleled organizational skills made her the go-to person for advice and support. Her unwavering faith in Catholicism guided her life, embodying the values of love and compassion.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Anna Norris, and sisters, Sharon Ottaway and Carol Ingram.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Robert "Bob" Hastings; sisters, Patricia (Dennis Harden) Norris and Karen (Gene Alexander) Norris; nephews Conlan Thompson and Ron (Rena) Crepps; niece Alexis Norris. 

Services are private to the family.
