Danny Ray Mahan, 61, of Ludlow, passed away suddenly at his residence June 7, 2024.
Danny was a dedicated Construction Traffic Controller for W.D. Wright Contracting, Inc of Cincinnati. He also served in the United States Army, exemplifying his commitment to serving his country.
In his free time, Danny could often be found tending to his tomatoes lying on a mat in the backyard, or indulging in his hobbies, such as throwing steel-tip darts, hunting, and fishing. He was also an avid UK fan.
A Ludlow High School graduate, Danny's proudest accomplishment was his family. He cherished his family above all else, especially his dear mother Stella Mahan.
Danny is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Criss Mahan; sons Matthew (Lottie) Mahan of Burlington, Thomas (Julie) Arnold of Ludlow, and Eric (Tina) Arnold of Independence; daughter Kristin (Dustin) Kendall of Newport; mother Stella Mahan of Ludlow; brothers Randy (Susan) Mahan of Ludlow and Timmy Mahan of Ludlow. He was also survived by his 12 grandchildren as follows: Tyler, Jared, Kaleb, Lilah, Mallory, Mason, Emma, Sullivan, Ava, Paige, Morgan, and Maddox; 2 great-grandchildren, Connor and Delilah. He leaves behind a long line of cousins, nieces and nephews, and an abundance of extended family.
He is preceded by his father Bill Mahan (2016).
Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 PM (noon) all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky 41016.
