Clarence W. Taylor, 81, of Covington, a devoted family man and a skilled entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. He was born on June 21, 1942, in Pineville, Kentucky.
Clarence had a successful career as the owner and operator of Taylor Carpet Cleaning, where he meticulously installed and cleaned carpets for numerous clients. Beyond his professional endeavors, Clarence found true joy in gardening and nurturing a variety of vegetables with great care.
Known for his sharp appearance and meticulous grooming habits, Clarence was deeply devoted to his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He found immense pleasure in spending time with friends and watching people perform karaoke. Clarence was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary "Jackie" Taylor (6/21/2012); son-in-law, Jeff McNees (5/19/2022); siblings, Elmer Taylor, Fred Taylor, Charles Taylor, Stacy Taylor, Violet Brock, Raba Baker, Marie Patterson, Virginia Wallen, Jeanette Flint, and Delphine Wells.
Clarence is survived by his daughters, Lisa McNees, Susan (Tim) Bockweg; sons, Mark (Peggy) Taylor, Rick Taylor; grandchildren Nicole (Bronson) Arroyo, Joseph (Nikki) McNees, Jessica (Nick) Holloway, Nick Bockweg, Megan (Jeff) Feldman, Mark (Megan) Taylor, Chad (Liz) Taylor, Katie (Jake) Volpenhein, Michael Taylor, along with 12 great-grandchildren and brother Clifford Taylor.
The visitation will be held on April 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky, 41016.
Interment at the Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright, Kentucky.
