Beata Catherine Moloney (nee Moster), 104, of Edgewood, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, surrounded by family. Bea was an avid quilter and had hand sewn many beautiful quilts and she made the most fantastic apple pies. She also loved to garden, work in her word search books and play bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida (nee Kunkel) Moster; husband, Tom Moloney (1980); daughter, Helen (2015); infant grandson, William Robbins (1972); great grandson, Justin Biery (2020); sisters, Anna Workman, Emma Moloney, Katie Frey; brothers, Ben, Albert, Walter, Rev. Humbert, OFM, Leo and Anthony Moster.
Bea leaves behind daughters, Margaret Carol (Mike) Robbins, Mary Kathryn “Mernie” (late Jim) Whalen; sons, Stephen Thomas (Kathy) Moloney, Patrick Joseph Moloney, Terrence Lee (Jeannie) Moloney; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and 2 on the way. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Moster, Kathy Moster, JoAnn Moster and Pat Moster.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM all in St. Pius X Church.
Interment in the Moloney family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery in Augusta, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, KY 41017; St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S. Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017 or Cedar Lake Foundation, 3301 Jericho Rd., LaGrange, KY 40031.
