Andrea R. Jones Wells

Andrea R. Jones Wells, 62, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, passed away peacefully on October 12 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a brave year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. Andrea started her career working as an elementary teacher for Louisville Public Schools. Her passion for teaching laid a solid foundation for her belief in the power of knowledge, but it was after becoming a mother that she truly devoted herself to her daughters and family.

Andrea's nurturing spirit was exemplified in all facets of her life, as she was always willing to put others before herself. Her personality shined brightly; she was very social, welcoming, and selfless. Andrea possessed an infectious enthusiasm paired with a great sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. A genuine individual, she remained true to herself and was passionate about standing up for the causes she believed in. Andrea's proudest achievement—raising her beautiful daughters, who were the light of her life.

Andrea enjoyed a variety of hobbies, showing her creative and artistic flair. She had a deep love for Hilton Head, South Carolina, and was an avid gardener, taking great pride in her vibrant yard filled with blossoming flowers and greenery. She and her husband enjoyed attending church together. Andrea also loved reading her Bible and making lifelong friends through Bible study.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Robert S. Wells, with whom she shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Andrea leaves behind her three beloved daughters: Katie (Thomas) Foster, Sarah Wells, and EmmaGrace (Michael) Harris; mother, Grace Jones; her sisters Michele (Tom) Melin, Julie Jones, and Cheryl (Paul) Darpel; as well as her beloved dog, Oakley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

Andrea was preceded in death by her father, Ronald B. Jones (2023).

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm St, Ludlow, KY.  The funeral service will take place Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:30 AM, also at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home.

Interment at Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, KY.

Andrea Rae Jones Wells will be remembered for her selflessness, creativity, and the love she shared with her family. Her legacy will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
