Joseph Scott Schaffer, 72, of Union, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 05, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was a retired flight dispatcher with DHL. Scott was a member of the Florence Lions Club for over 40 years and loved gardening and traveling.
Scott is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Schaffer of Union; son, John “JJ” Schaffer of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; brother, James D. (Sharon) Schaffer of West Chester, Ohio; nieces, Julie (Steve Teisch) Goodridge of Lake Worth, Florida and Emily (Anthony) Beatty of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; nephew, Daniel Schaffer of Mason, Ohio and aunt, Jean Chestnut of Burlington, Kentucky.
Due to coronavirus concerns, services are private at the convenience of the family.
Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Florence Lions Club, 29 Lacresta Dr, Florence, KY 41042.
