Nancy Corbett
Nancy Suddeth Corbett, 58, passed away, while clothed with the Brown Scapular of Our Lady, on Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas. She was an artist, native to Cincinnati, who later resided in Wilder, KY. In 1982, at the age of 19, Nancy became the youngest member of the Cincinnati Art Club. Mainly self-taught, she sold many portraits and scenic paintings in watercolor, oils, and pastels, to individuals, small companies, and large corporations in the United States, Canada, and Scotland. One of her portraits hangs in the University of Cincinnati’s School of Nursing. In 1981, she won a scholarship to the Art Academy of Cincinnati. She also won numerous awards including The Cincinnati Enquirer’s “Young Artist Award” in 1984. She was very proud of being featured on the front page of the November 27, 1992 edition of the Kentucky Post. The article was very complimentary regarding the wooden boat she built, from scratch, in her front yard that resembled Noah’s Ark. Nancy was a member of Old St. Mary’s Church in Over-the-Rhine. She was diagnosed with MS but courageously beat it using natural supplements.
