Lee Haggard

Lee Haggard, 86, of Florence, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.  He retired after working 34 years as an Engineer for C&O Railroad.  Lee served our country in the United States Army.  He was member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Kentucky Colonels.  Lee loved spending time with his family.   He was an avid video poker player.   Lee had the opportunity to attend 8 NFL Super Bowl games with his brothers.  Each of them was a cherished memory.  Survivors include his wife of 50 years Sharon Stratton; son Leo Haggard (Alisha) of Panama City Beach FL; daughters, Sherry Kunert (Jim) of Union, Terri Kuehn (Stuart) of Florence; sisters, Janice Spence of Burlington, Joyce Price of West Covington, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Omar and Virginia (nee Floyd) Haggard; son, Michael Haggard; daughter, Kristy Haggard; brothers, Peter Haggard, Roy Haggard, Ron Haggard, Harold Haggard; sisters, Iva McCandless, Agnes Helton, and Delores Stratton. Visitation is on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 12:00PM all in Ronald Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.  Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.   In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association of Cincinnati Chapter, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 54203.
