Charles E. Foulks, Sr., 94, of Bromley, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on January 2, 2021. Charlie was in the Navy and served our country during World War II in Okinawa, Japan. He was proud to attend the honor flight with his granddaughter in 2017.  After the war, Charlie became known for his excellent ability to rebuild cars. He worked nights at his home garage and days at Queen City Chevrolet body shop, Economy Chevrolet and Thompson MacConnell Cadillac. Having grown up during the depression, he had a strong work ethic to succeed, and he did.  After retiring, Ruth and Charlie enjoyed fishing at Watts Bar Lake in Tennessee and Elmer Davis Lake in Owen County. Catching fish and a cold beer! He was a past grand master and 50 plus years member of the Masonic organization and he was also a member of the Scottish Rite for over 50 years. For many years, Charlie also served on Bromley City Council.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 70 plus years, Ruth (2018) and his sons, Chuck (2006), Jim (2010) and Charlie (2009).

Survivors include his daughters, Pat (Frank) Wartman of Bromley, Dixie (Shawn) Meyer of Owenton; his loving grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Stephanie, Mike, Billy, Jimbo, Shawn, Michelle, Jamie, Doug, Danny; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and his longtime friends, Joe Tipton and GC Clark.

Visitation is on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM, with a Masonic Service at 11:45 AM, all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.  Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill.
