James Bennett

James “Boots” “Jim” W. Bennett, 74, of Lakeside Park, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He worked in plant maintenance and as an electrician for the NKY Water District and he did electrical work and assembled panel boards for Crouse Hinds Electric. Jim was a volunteer fireman for 24 years with the Ft. Mitchell Fire Department and 7 ½ years with the Florence Fire Department.  Jim was also a Kentucky Colonel for 32 years and a member of Northern Kentucky React Club.  He enjoyed finding things with his metal detector and donating them to the Behringer-Crawford Museum.  He was a wonderful friend who never met a stranger.  Survivors include his significant other, Judy Terry of Lakeside Park; sister, Jeanine (Ray) Godsey of Hebron and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dr. George Renaker; Paul “Bud” Renaker; sister, Mary Jane Disibio and foster sister, Eileen Levan. Visitation is on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 10:30 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow.  Interment in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ft. Mitchell Fire Department, 2355 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home is serving the family. Online condolences to www.ronaldbjones.com.
