Marjorie Fairchild (nee Henke), 85, of Florence, beloved wife of the late Michael F. Fairchild, passed away on August 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a former Department Manager at American Book/ Litton Publishing Co. Marjorie was an avid Reds and UK fan who loved to travel, play bingo, and to spend time with her family and friends. She was a second mother to all her nieces and nephews. She was a member of Ludlow Seniors, IHM Seniors, Florence Seniors, Friday Birthday Club, Tripoli Club, St. Paul’s Widows, Kentucky Colonel and volunteer at Ludlow Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Josephine Henke; brother, George “Pete” Henke; sisters, Laverne Lokesak Rogers, Dorothy Gray; and step-son, James Fairchild.
Survivors include her sister, Audrey (Ferd) Metzger of Florence; step-sons, Ralph, Louis, Michael (Bonnie) Fairchild; step-daughters, Catherine and Michele Fairchild; grandchildren, Megan Fairchild, Cassie Fairchild Doolittle, Christopher Sims, Keith, Paul, Michael and Kevin Fairchild all in the Cleveland area; dear friend of Ruth M. Gleason of Florence; beloved Aunt of Jack (Charlotte) Lokesak, Albert (Sylvia) Lokesak, James Lokesak, David (Kathy) Lokesak, Thomas (Christie) Lokesak, Pete Henke, Ken (Pam) Henke, Andy (Teresa) Metzger, Michael (Sandy) Metzger, John (Andrea) Rogers, Anna (Daniel) Cox, Judith (Bill) Lubbers, Mary Jo (Don) Baker, Jean (Gene) O’Hara, Margaret (Keith) Zoeckler, Deborah (Ollie) Gabbard, Teri (John) Quatkameyer, Julie (Pat) Aubuchon; 46 great nephews and nieces and 40 great great nephews and nieces.
Visitation is Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016 with Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:00AM in St. Paul Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.
Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
