Chris Edgington

Christopher “Chris” Edgington, 50, of Edgewood, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence.  He worked as a Global Solutions Consultant for Kofax. Chris was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church where he volunteered and was the chairman of the festival committee numerous times.  He was a 1985 graduate of Covington Catholic High School.  Chris was a past president and current board member of CCH Boosters.  He was the founder and chairman of the Colonel Stag.  He also spent several years volunteering as a coach for the Colonel Youth Football Program and CCH freshman football team which team ultimately became the 2017 State Champions.  Chris was also a Kentucky Colonel.  Most of all, Chris was a loving husband and father who cherished his time with his family and lived life to the fullest.  He was a self-taught cook that never used a measuring cup to create his outstanding dishes for his family and friends to be enjoyed on the back patio.

Chris is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 25 years, Angie Edgington (nee: Nie); sons, Andrew and Alex Edgington; daughter, Claire Edgington; parents, Jerry and Joan Edgington; mother-in-law, Sue Nie; sisters, Lori Edgington (Polly), Lisa Edgington; brothers, Ted Edgington (Alecia), Jerry Edgington (Debbie), Mike Edgington, Jeff Edgington (Judy); sister-in-laws, JoEllen Joslin (Dan), Debi (Jack) Hicks; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 9:00AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM all at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.  Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Covington Catholic High School, 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY 41011.  Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home is serving the family.
