ADICK—Mary Katherine
(nee Getker), age 68, of Kenton Hills passed away peacefully on February 1, after a long battle with cancer.
“Kay,” as family and friends knew her, was born February 19, 1949, in Covington to the late Francis Rose (nee Fisk) and John Henry Getker. Loving sister of the late Robert Getker, she is survived by her beloved spouse Michael Adick and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
All who knew and loved Kay will miss her grace, kindness, generosity, and passionate commitment to life. Her many passions included a love of reading, photography, travel, and snow skiing.
She was a 1966 graduate of Holy Cross High School and an alumna of Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati. Kay’s diverse professional life included serving as a special education teacher, systems analyst, photographer, and respiratory therapist.
A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
