Barbara Philippe
Barbara S. Philippe, 72, of Fort Thomas, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She had been a hairdresser and was also a Secretary for a local bank and a real estate company. Barbara was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Newport. She loved golfing, playing cards and traveling, especially to the beach.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 51 years, James “Red” Philippe of Fort Thomas; daughters, Marcy (Steve) Holbrook of Ludlow, Stacia (Tony) Albert of Edgewood; grandchildren, Courtney Turner, Tyler Albert and Brooke Albert.
Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Michael McPhail.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 415 Park Avenue, Newport, KY where the family will receive friends.
Barbara requested that her body be donated to science to help others.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017and/or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
