Sally Glockner

Sally A. Glockner (nee Kalb), 78, of Ft. Wright, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood surrounded by her loving family.

Sally was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver.  She spent her life caring for her family whom she considered a gift and a blessing. Sally was a long-time member of Mother of God parish and was strong in her practice of faith. She was known for her loving service to others, her strength in the face of challenges, and her absolute joy in being “Mom” and “Grandma.”

Sally was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald F. Glockner and by their beloved daughter, Carolyn Bessler. Also, preceding her in death are her parents, Forrest and Dorothy Kalb; brother, Charles Kalb, and sister, Nancy Orlett.

Survivors include her sons, Michael, Mark (Julie) and Matthew Glockner; daughters, Catherine (Robert) Jones, Barbara (Mike) Heath, and Lisa (Pat) McDaniel and sister, Marilyn Augustin. Sally is the grandmother of fifteen grandchildren, Nate, Nicole (Doug), Drew, Emily, Matt, Ben, Faith, Claire, John, Daniel (Courtney), Kevin, Sara, Tyler, Ian, Allieand four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM all in Mother of God Church, 119 West 6

Street, Covington, KY 41011.  Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mother of God Church.
