Bessie Fleissner
Bessie Wren Fleissner, 99, a resident of Ludlow for 72 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Baptist Care Center in Erlanger. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital and as a Private Duty Nurse. Bessie was a member of Bromley Christian Church where she was a past Sunday school teacher. She was a past Girl Scout leader at First Baptist Church and past PTA member of Ludlow Schools. Bessie volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospice and Redwood School. She loved to read, go camping, spend time with her children and grandchildren, go to museum exhibits and especially liked the Krohn Conservatory.
Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, John Fleissner; parents, Alex and Hallie Wren; sister, Helen Lancaster; brothers, Homer, Joe, Melvin and Delaney Wren.
Survivors include her children, John Fleissner II, Rebecca Underhill, Judy and Sam Spears and Mary and Walter Stickrod. She also leaves behind sisters, Mary Reynolds and Norma Meyers; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 11:00 AM to the hour of Service at 1:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
