Alice M. Ellis
Alice M. Ellis, 76, of Independence, KY, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. She retired from AAA in Cincinnati. After retirement, Alice worked for Kenton County Schools as a teacher assistant in the Special Education Department at various schools. She was an avid reader but her passion was music. Alice sang in the choir at Faith Community United Methodist Church of which she was a member. She also played the piano. Alice was devoted to her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Nick “Larry” Ellis of Independence; daughter, Bonnie Lynn Knopp (Steve Butkovich) of Taylor Mill; son, Michael Ellis (Heidi) of Belleview, FL; brother, Charles Herndon (Kathleen) of Largo, FL; grandchildren, Cori Knopp, Sarah Knopp, Nicholas Ellis, Ian Ellis, Paige Ellis and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation is on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10:00AM until the hour of the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon, all at Ronald Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fairhaven Rescue Mission, 260 Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011.
