Franklin Palmer Jr.
Franklin Louis Palmer, Jr., 86, of Bromley passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Florence Park Care Center.
He retired after 41 years as a Buyer for Cincinnati Gas and Electric. Frank was a member and Elder of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Bromley, KY. He was a charter member of the N.KY. Valve Jumpers Hot Rod Club who helped in the construction of the Thorn Hill Drag Strip. He was an avid antique car and motorcycle enthusiast and mechanic who enjoyed watching his grandson and son race motorcycles. He also helped with his son’s business, Midwest Cycle & Signs. Frank was a past Master and Treasurer of Unity Lodge 478 in Covington. He was a Kentucky Colonel and past city council member of Bromley.
Survivors include his loving wife, Georgetta “Jetta” Reinhart Palmer of Bromley; sons, Frank “Dusty” (Sue) Palmer of Ludlow, Michael J. (Kathy) Palmer of Bromley; grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Beighle, Zakk Palmer, Jason Palmer, Jesse Palmer and Jennifer Palmer; great-granchildren, Cheyenne, Michael, Molly, Aly, Lily, Lucy and C.J. Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Katherine Palmer.
Visitation is on Tuesday March 8, 2016 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 noon all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Immanuel United Church of Christ, 110 Boone Street, Bromley, KY 41016.
