Robert W. Vahlsing, 91, of Bromley, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at his residence.  He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for BP Oil Company in Cincinnati.  Robert proudly served our country in the South Pacific during WWII as a U.S. Marine.  In 2012, he and his son flew to Washington D.C on the Honor Flight.  Robert was born in Constance, KY and belonged to Constance Christian Church then he moved to Bromley where he lived for over 71 years.   He was a member of Bromley Christian Church and taught Sunday school for many of those years.  Robert was also a member of the Bromley Fire Department, Police Department, Bromley VETs and spent 40 years coaching knothole baseball in Bromley.

Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Nelda (Sprague) Vahlsing of Bromley; son, Michael (Diana Schneider) Vahlsing of Edgewood; grandchildren, Brandon Vahlsing of Edgewood,  Blake (Sarah Coombs) Vahlsing of West Melborne, FL; and great grandchildren, Luke and Abby Vahlsing.

Visitation is on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 noon all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.

Interment in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Bromley Christian Church, 216 Kenton St, Bromley, KY 41016.
