David Manning, 92, of Covington, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a retired Stationary Engineer for the City of Covington.
David proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was a member of St. Augustine Church in Covington.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Ruth Manning of Covington; step-children, Tony Kidwell of Villa Hills, Donald Kidwell of Villa Hills, Robert Kidwell of Florida City, FL, Patricia Roenker of Lexington; loving nieces and caretakers, Carla (Anne Richter) Manning; sisters, Margie Hill of Florence, Jeanne Wissel of Cincinnati; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and James Manning and sister, Mariam Knight.
Visitation is on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 10:00 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon, all in St. Augustine Church, 1839 Euclid Avenue, Covington, KY 41014.
Interment in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017 or The Arbor at Baptist Convalescent Center, 120 Main Street, Newport, Kentucky 41071.
Friends and family are invited back to a celebration of David’s life at the Covington Firefighters local 38, Union Hall, 2232 Howell Street, Covington, KY 41014
