John "Jack" Gunning
John “Jack” Gunning, 91, of Ludlow, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Villa Springs Care Center in Erlanger. He was a retired service representative with Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company in Cincinnati.
Jack was a member of Sts. Boniface and James Church in Ludlow, American Legion, VFW, and Kehoe Council K of C Ludlow. He also enjoyed spending time fishing, golfing and most of all with family at family gatherings.
Jack served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received a Bronze Star on Utah Beach Normandy Invasion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Gunning (1998).
Survivors include his son, Edward (Dottie) Gunning of Lakeside Park; daughters, Donna (Jay) Steffen of Ft. Mitchell, Sharon (Dennis) Wenz of Erlanger, Nancy (Rich) McGuire of Independence; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 10:00AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon, all in Sts. Boniface and James Church, 304 Oak Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
