Della "Betsy" Maddin
Della Marie “Betsy” Maddin, 88, died peacefully at her residence August 1, 2022. She was the youngest and last surviving child of P.J. and Mary Della Maddin of Boone County Kentucky. Betsy was preceded in death by her siblings Christina McCormick, Lawrence Richard Maddin, and Dorothy Hempsted.
She is survived by “cousins by the dozens.”
Betsy spent over half her life on the family farm in the enjoyment of the company of her kin playing her harmonica and relaying tales of Porter Wagner, the HeeHaw gang and Lawrence Welk. A devote Catholic to the end, Betsy never missed a rosary for anyone in need. Content with the simple pleasures of life with never an ill word said, she will be missed and loved by all who had the fortune to know her.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 10:00AM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM all in St. William Church, 6 Church St, Williamstown, KY 41097.
Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Verona, KY.
