Catherine "Maxine" Delk
Catherine “Maxine” Delk, 97, of Ludlow, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ludlow since 1946 where she taught Bible School and Sunday School. Maxine was the owner of Sweet to Eat in Ludlow where she worked as a cook and food handler for over 30 years. Maxine was grateful to her family and friends for making her life a happy journey and she was grateful to her Heavenly Father for immeasurable blessings.
She was preceded in death by her ‘one and only’, husband, William “Cotton” Delk (2007); brothers, Elvin, Carlis, Earl and Terrill Durham and great grandchildren, Owen, Bradley and Mallory Ferguson.
Survivors include her sons, Randy (Paulette) Delk of Petersburg, Robert (Glenna) Henry of Williamstown; daughter, Suzanne (Mike) Putthoff of Petersburg; brothers, Curtis Durham of Wilmore, KY, Jack Johnson of Stanford, KY; sisters, Louada Smith of Stanford, KY, Maria Duttera of Newark, OH; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation is on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the hour of Service at 1:00 PM all in First Baptist Church, 400 Linden Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or Childrens Hospital (in honor of Raven Woods) 3333 Burnet Avenue, Avondale, OH 45229.
