Lawrence William McClanahan, 81, of Ft. Wright, passed away on

Thursday, February 10

, 2022, at his residence. Lawrence was a retired Network Analyst with the Kentucky Department of Transportation.  He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force.  Lawrence was a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs.  He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Kentucky Public Retirees Northern Kentucky Chapter, St. Vincent DePaul Society and St. Joseph Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joan McClanahan; sons, Larry (Vickie) McClanahan, Tim (Jena) McClanahan; daughter, Jenny (Mark) Ihrig; grandchildren, Kasey (Austin) Stinson, Nick McClanahan, Taylor McClanahan, Evan Ihrig, Aaron Ihrig, Sean Ihrig, Will McClanahan, Jack McClanahan, Jude McClanahan; great grandchildren, Caleb and Tate Stinson.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Raymond McClanahan; sisters, Marian Broomall, Rose Zeiser; grandchildren, Alex and Nathan McClanahan.

Lawrence has generously donated his body to science.
