Harold & Carol Setser
Harold and Carol Setser, of Williamstown, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Grant County. They were members of Community Family Church in Independence. Harold attended Olivet Nazarene University and retired from Western & Southern Life Insurance as a Senior Methods Analyst Manager. He also led the Western & Southern choir for the opening night of Krohn's Conservatory's annual Christmas display. He was a licensed minister and served as a youth pastor and choir director, board member and lay minister. After retirement, he enjoyed living at Elk Lake, riding their boat, taking their grandchildren skiing, and volunteering at his church. Carol worked at McAlpins downtown Cincinnat until Harold's retirement She was a Sunday School teacher, and church pianist and organist. She had a passion for rescuing animals, reading, studying the Bible, playing the piano, and buying gifts and crafts for her grandchildren. She taught herself Spanish and practiced it daily. Harold and Carol had just celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary in January.
Survivors include their daughter, Karen (Randall I) Campbell; sons, Ron Setser and Stephen Setser; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bessie Setser and his brother, Russell Setser. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Bojar, Iva Dean Pennington and her sister, Mary Kathleen Simpson.
Visitation is on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 5:00 pm until the hour of Service at 7:00 pm. Both will take place at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Road, Independence, KY 41051.
Interment is on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10am in Highland Cemetary, Ft. Mitchell.
