Carole Ginney, 79, of Union, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Boonesprings Nursing Home in Union, Ky after a long battle with dementia.
She retired from teaching at Sacred Heart in Bellevue, and then chose to dedicate her time to raising her 3 children. Carole was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Timothy Church in Union. She loved shopping and making crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her devoted husband, James Ginney of Union; son, Sean (Jaime) Ginney of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughters, Shannon (late Mark) Melching of Florence, Kelly (Steve) Sparks of Union; brothers, Tom (Laura) Seither of Edgewood, Don (Judy) Seither of Villa Hills, Richard (Patti) Seither of Ft. Thomas; sisters, Lois (Don) Alread of Tennessee, and Connie McNerney of Bellevue. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren who meant the world to her.
Visitation is on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 4:00 PM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 PM all in St. Timothy Church, 10272 US-42, Union, KY.
Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Parish Kitchen, 1561 Madison Ave, Covington, KY 41011.
