Muriel Collier, 98, of Erlanger, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.  She was born on December 22, 1920 and is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Harry Witt Roth and her husband, Arthur H. Collier.  Muriel is survived by her two daughters, Harriet J. (John) Powell of Ft. Mitchell and Shirley Neff Agnor of Lakeside Park.  She was blessed with four grandchildren; David T. (Peggy) Neff, Eric C. (Kim) Neff, Wendy (Bob) Humble, and Traci (Kevin) Wiseman.  She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, David A. Neff, Tyler “Ty” (Hitomi) Henry, Claire Paige Wiseman, Julia Parker Wiseman, Logan Neff, Austin Neff and Mason Neff.  The latest edition is great-great-grandson, Alexander Lio Henry.

Muriel was a 1938 graduate of Ludlow High School and attended Transylvania University.  She is the oldest member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ludlow where she served as choir director and a Sunday school teacher for more than fifty years.  Muriel was the owner of The Curiosity Shop in Covington and Muriel’s Things in Ludlow.  She and her husband, Art, enjoyed traveling  to Backus, MN and searching for antiques for their business.

Visitation is on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the hour of Service at 1:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.  Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wesley United Methodist Church, 319 Oak St, Ludlow, KY 41016 or The Salvation Army, 1806 Scott Blvd, Covington, KY 41014.
