Edgar Morriston

Edgar Edwin Morriston III, 75, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.  He was a restaurateur.

Ed proudly served our country in the U.S. National Guard.

He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and spent a good portion of his life traveling the world and visiting countries as diverse as Chile, France, Morocco, and even rode the length of Russia via the Trans-Siberian Railway.  He is reputed to have had the ability to speak at least one word in every language ever spoken on Earth. This report is not confirmed. Additionally, he spent time working at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York as a stuntman and completed several cross-country trips on his motorcycle.

Survivors include his son, Nicolas Matthew Morriston of Ft. Mitchell; daughter, Brannen Jennifer Morriston of Covington; niece, Allison Lockhart and cousin, Carolyn Latham.

Ed was preceded in death by his brother, George Lockhart.

Visitation is on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.

Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
