John "Jack" Stewart

John “Jack” Stewart, 86, of Ft. Wright, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Hospice of Cincinnati.  He was a retired Railroad Engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Jack proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Sts. Boniface & James Church in Ludlow; the VFW in Latonia and the Boone Lake Club.  He loved fishing and hunting but especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia “Patti” Stewart (nee Shadwick) of Ft. Wright; daughters, Carol (Michael) Harp of Latonia, Cheryll “Cheri” (Mike) Merriman of Burlington, Jean “Jeannie” (Steve) Schultz of Park Hills; brother, Jim (Janet) Stewart of Miamisburg, OH; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Merriman (2015).

Entombment Service is on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Mausoleum of Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
