Kenneth “Sam” Allender, 61, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was an Electrician for Duro Paper Bag Company. Sam loved being at the race track, golfing and boating and he was an avid UK basketball fan. Sam loved his dogs, Bear, Bruiser and Bonita but most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Rita Allender of Covington; sons, Ken (Mary Paxitzis) Allender of Florence, Robert (Cat) Crowder of Ryland Heights, Tommy (Peggy) Henson of Mississippi, Tim (Mindy) Henson of Erlanger; mother, Phylis Allender of Taylor Mill; brothers, Jerry Allender of Ludlow, Steve Allender of Union, Billy Allender of Ludlow; sisters, Toni Allender of Taylor Mill, Lisa Helton of Kenton Hills; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Lee Allender.
Visitation is on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY.
