John "Jack" Nienaber
John “Jack” Nienaber passed away December 22, 2017. He is preceded in death by parents Pete and Dorothy Nienaber and loving wife of 48 years Charlotte Lohmeire Nienaber. He is survived by his daughter Julia Nienaber Hurst (fiancé Don Brossart), grandchildren Riley and Lucas, his brothers Pierce (Pat) Nienaber, Joseph Sr (Peggy) Nienaber, and Bill (Phyllis) Nienaber and many beloved nieces and nephews. The Rhinestone Cowboy has left us as Parkinson’s disease pulled Jack’s final curtain. Jack was devoted to family and was a friend, brother, and uncle who made everyone laugh. Jack was a constant worker, big achiever, and the king of encouragement. He was a standout athlete as a Northern Kentucky and Covington Catholic High School Hall of Fame athlete (CCH ’59), a Vietnam veteran, and a lifelong employee of Bearings Inc. Jack shined bright in this star-spangled rodeo. He may not have been bad, but the bad never messed with him. Now he’s gone to where the lights are shining on him for always. And, yes, you can bet he’s rubbing Charlotte’s feet and standing up straight. Visitation is on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5:00 PM to the hour of Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 PM all in St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Ft. Wright, KY 41011. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Covington Catholic High School, 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY 41011 or online at covcath.org/gift. Ronald B.
