John Arp

John Arp, 73, of Burlington, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the “Silver Star” for his military service.  John was a pipefitter and a member of the Local #392 Pipefitter’s Union.  He retired from General Electric Aviation after working there for 27 years.  John was also a Mason and member of the Unity Masonic Lodge in Ludlow. His first love was his family but most of all his grandchildren.  He loved driving, restoring and showing his classic cars. He also enjoyed all aspects of UK Basketball. John was a quiet, stubborn man who would literally give you the shirt off his back. He would help anyone at any time in any way that he could. He truly had a heart of gold and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Miracle) Arp of Burlington; daughters, Shannon (George) Robinson of Burlington and Misty (Steve) Dinser of Burlington; grandchildren, Brandon Robinson, Devon Robinson, Makenna Dinser, Logan Robinson and Noah Dinser.
